Organisational Setup

The Office of Advocate General, Haryana is headed by the Advocate General, Haryana appointed by the Government of Haryana under Article 165 of the Constitution of India. The Head Office is situated in the premises of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh. A Legal Cell is also in place in New Delhi under the aegis of the Advocate General, Haryana. The Legal Cell at New Delhi caters to looking after the litigation about the State of Haryana in the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, and all other Tribunals and Courts situated at New Delhi. The litigation about the State of Haryana in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, and other Tribunals at Chandigarh is looked after by the Head Office at Chandigarh. The Advocate General, Haryana is assisted by a team of highly dedicated Law Officers, in the rank of Senior Additional Advocate General, Additional Advocate General, Deputy Advocate General, and Assistant Advocate General, appointed at Chandigarh as well as New Delhi, who work under the control and guidance of the Advocate General, Haryana towards protecting the interest of the State of Haryana in the litigation in various Courts of Law.
