Biography
Hon'ble Mr. Justice Tewatia was called to the Bar from Lincoln’s Inn. He joined the Bar at Gurgaon District Courts in the years 1955 and 1957, he shifted his practice at the High Court of Punjab. He was elected Secretary of High Court Bar Association in 1965-66. He was appointed as Advocate General, Haryana on 2nd May 1969 and continued as such up to 5th February 1970. Justice Tewatia was elevated to the Bench of the Hon’ble High Court in February 1970. Later on, he was appointed as Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court from where he resigned in 1989. After his resignation, he has resumed his legal practice at the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
